That's some crazy shit. He was into Chomsky - that's probably a pretty good reason to want to murder him. Having Tillman return stateside and talking to Chomsky and then coming out against the war - this war could have been over quick. But maybe not - the Right has managed to destroy every other person who opposed them - why would Tillman be any different?
UPDATE: We should keep in mind - the state has murdered before.
